About Iglutheca

  • Our Mission is to provide a pathway for homeless Lakotas out of addiction and poverty.

We are intensely focused on this singular goal. Although there are numerous needs and worthy causes around the reservation, we believe we can make the biggest impact by using all of our time and funding for these purposes.

  • Iglutheca was founded as a Christian organization, and we do what we do because of Jesus. God has brought us to where we are today, and we believe he will continue to do great things.

We nondenominational. We have close partnerships with Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church (PC USA) and with the Pine Ridge Reconciliation Center (ELCA).

We do not require our shelter guests to participate in any religious activities. We do not preach to our guests or apply any pressure. We will pray for our guests when they are receptive and we will always invite them to worship or to Bible Studies.

  • Iglutheca does not discriminate in who it provides services to. We primarily serve Lakota people, but we will serve anyone regardless of district membership, tribal membership, race, religion, gender, sexual identity, or sexual orientation.
